Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Theatre Support Worker to join the Theatres team. The role is Band 2, £25,272 per annum, 37.5 hours per week, on a fixed-term contract until 01 September 2027.

The successful candidate will be a dependable team player, able to work under pressure and maintain high standards of patient care. You will support perioperative services, assist with patient transfers and theatre logistics, and participate in mandatory

Qualifications

• Successful candidate must be proactive, hardworking and customer-focused.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
• Physically fit and able to carry heavy loads; active for prolonged periods; all mandatory training provided.

Responsibilities

• Act as a caring, compassionate first point of contact for patients entering theatres.
• Support as part of a team to deliver high-quality perioperative care.
• Assist with transfers, transport of specimens, and theatre cleaning as required.
