Job summary

Circle Health Group’s The Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (Bank) to join on an as-and-when-needed basis, supporting surgical teams during busy periods and providing cover for annual leave.

You must be an NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered ODP with theatre experience; you will set up theatres, assist in anaesthetics, maintain sterility, monitor patients, and ensure safety throughout perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) registration.
• Experience in theatre (scrub, anaesthetics or recovery).
• Infection control and patient safety understanding.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments, maintain sterility and support the anaesthetist.
• Set up operating theatres according to procedure and patient needs.
• Check equipment and report faults before use.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for safe lists.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient theatre environment.
