Job summary

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 operative to assist in theatres and recovery for paediatric patients. You will support the recovery/theatre staff and MDT to ensure safe, effective patient care.

The post requires commitment to safeguarding, a flexible approach to shifts including on-calls, and adherence to Trust policies. Sponsorship is not indicated for this role.

Qualifications

• Maths and English GCSE grade C or above or Level 2 functional skills.
• Willingness to undertake any competencies necessary for role.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.

Responsibilities

• To act as a positive role model at all times.
• To participate in performance management and appraisals.
• To follow Trust policy in the event of critical incidents and complaints.
• To read, keep up-to-date with and adhere to BCH CSW code of conduct and Trust guidelines policies and procedures.
• Be aware of limitations of job role and work within these parameters at all times
