Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust in Stafford is recruiting for a Senior Clinical Support Worker (Band 3). You will provide compassionate patient care under nursing teams, supporting safe and dignified care across pre and post-operative settings.

The role requires NHS experience, adherence to safety checks and teamwork. Working 8am-6pm Monday to Saturday, with shift patterns as outlined; visa sponsorship is not available for Band 2-4 and overseas qualifications noted.

Qualifications

• NHS experience preferred and essential for Band 3 Senior CSW roles.
• GCSE Maths and English at Level 4/C or Level 2 functional skills required.
• Care Certificate or NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide fundamental patient care under the nursing/midwifery team.
• Assist with peri-operative duties, observations and samples as directed.
• Prepare equipment, maintain theatres and ensure stock rotation.
• Participate in safety checklists and maintain a clean environment.
• Support and mentor new staff through buddy system.
