Qualifications

• 12 months experience in a professional contract as a Healthcare Assistant or equivalent.
• Numeracy/Literacy skills to Level 1 (GCSE Grade 2-3, D-F or equivalent). IELTS or OETS accepted for overseas applicants (Level 7 listening/speaking/reading & Level 6.5 in writing).
• Care Certificate or must complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care/Equivalent qualification or willing/required to complete if successful (If applicant has 3 years or more care experience this is voluntary).

Responsibilities

• Providing fundamental elements of patient care as directed by the nursing/midwifery team.
• Work on a 24/7 shift pattern including long days, late long days, twilights, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
