Job summary

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an administrative clerk to join the Orthopaedic Ward administration team on a fixed-term contract.

You will provide clerical and receptionist support to patients and visitors, liaise with nursing and allied services, manage calls and enquiries, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

For more information on the Job Description and Responsibilities. More detail about the role You will work as part of the Orthopaedic Ward administration team covering the wards to ensure that all administration duties are performed to help support the clinical staff.

You will provide administrative, clerical and receptionist services to patients and visitors calmly, sensitively and efficiently both on the telephone and in person you will be working as part of a team and in collaboration with others.

You will liaise closely with nursing, therapy, medical and supporting services to provide an efficient and effective service for patients.

You should be able to respond to changing priorities and have the ability to work under pressure and be an excellent team player.

You will be computer literate and have experience of dealing with the general public.

You will need a good general education, proven experience in administration; a flexible can do attitude and the ability to use your own initiative.

The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week Wednesday- Friday
