The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced secretary or administrator to join the Ophthalmology Department at the Wonford site. The post holder will provide comprehensive administration support for patients and the clinical team, prioritising workload and maintaining accuracy in a busy environment.
The role requires good communication and organisation, with visits to the department welcomed.
More detail about the role: An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced secretary or administrator to join our team as a Service Administrator. Based within the Ophthalmology Department on the main Royal Devon and Exeter Wonford site, the post holder will join an established team to provide comprehensive administration support for our patients and clinical team. The successful candidate must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills, enjoy working within busy team, able to prioritise their workload and can work well under pressure. We are looking for someone who is articulate, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise their own workload. You will need to enjoy the challenge of working as part of a busy team yet have the ability to use your own initiative to meet the changing needs of the department.
The post holder will need to have a range of administrative experience, ideally in a secretarial role or within a Healthcare environment. If you feel you would be able to meet the demands of this challenging and rewarding role, Visits to the department are welcome and encouraged.
Working Pattern: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Hours to be confirmed.

Please note, this is a fixed term contract for 12 months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
