Job summary

Browne Group is seeking a talented Performance Manager to join our expanding team supporting major infrastructure programmes within the water sector. You will monitor, manage and improve performance across a portfolio of construction and engineering projects.

Working with clients, operations, planners and commercial teams, you will produce performance reporting, forecasts and management information, using Power BI and Excel to provide actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project, programme, performance, project controls or PMO management within construction, infrastructure, utilities or engineering environments.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with ability to interpret data and provide insights.
  • Experience producing performance reports, dashboards, forecasts, and management information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI; experience with project planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of project controls, governance, resource planning and performance management principles.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts; CEMAR is advantageous.
  • Relevant degree or project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent) desirable.

Job description

We are looking for a talented and proactive Performance Manager to join our growing team supporting the delivery of major infrastructure programmes within the water sector. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in monitoring, managing, and improving project performance across a portfolio of construction and engineering projects.

As Performance Manager, you will be responsible for administering, analysing, and reporting on programme and project performance to ensure delivery against key objectives relating to cost, quality, programme, efficiency, and benefits realisation. Working closely with clients, operational teams, planners, commercial teams, and stakeholders, you will provide valuable insights through performance reporting, forecasting, project controls, resource planning, and governance activities. You will help drive continuous improvement across project delivery, support contract administration and change control processes, and contribute to the successful development and delivery of large-scale infrastructure programmes.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in project, programme, performance, project controls, or PMO management within construction, infrastructure, utilities, or engineering environments.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Experience producing performance reports, dashboards, forecasts, and management information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with experience using project planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • A proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of project controls, programme governance, resource planning, and performance management principles.
  • Previous experience working within the water sector and familiarity with NEC contracts, CEMAR would be advantageous.
  • A relevant degree or project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent) is desirable.
