Job summary

Browne Group is seeking a proactive Site Agent to join our London-area team, taking ownership of site operations on water mains renewal schemes. You will coordinate day-to-day activities, manage resources and subcontractors, and ensure delivery to high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include liaising with clients and authorities, monitoring progress, controlling costs, and driving continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience leading site-based utility, water, or civil projects.
• Coordinate site operations, resources, materials and subcontractors.
• Strong health, safety, environmental and quality knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Water Hygiene, NRSWA Unit 10 (or equivalent), Safe Digging/Cable Avoidance, First Aid.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Site Agent to join our team and support the successful delivery of water mains renewal schemes across the London region. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day site activities, managing resources, materials, subcontractors, and site teams, while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance. You will work closely with clients, local authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery, proactively resolving challenges, monitoring progress, controlling costs, and driving continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

What We\'re Looking For

• Experience managing utility, water, or civil engineering projects in a site-based leadership role.
• Proven ability to coordinate site operations, resources, materials, and subcontractors to achieve programme targets.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements within construction or utilities environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across site teams, clients, and suppliers.
• Effective problem-solving, organisational, and leadership skills with a proactive approach to project delivery.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Water Hygiene, NRSWA Unit 10 (or equivalent), Safe Digging/Cable Avoidance, and First Aid qualifications.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
