Job summary

Northern Powergrid Limited is seeking a data analyst to join Regional Operations in Castleford. The role focuses on bringing together data from multiple systems, cleaning and validating it, and creating automated Power BI dashboards and KPIs for regional leaders to act on insights.

You will collaborate with leadership to identify performance opportunities, build trusted data pipelines, and support performance and regulatory reporting with clear, actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to extract, transform and validate data across multiple sources.
• Experience delivering technically complex data solutions from problem to usable outputs.
• Experience building dashboards and automated reporting for decision-making.
• Experience with dashboards, automated reporting or repeatable data processes to support operations.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships across Regional Operations to understand information needs and performance priorities.
• Consolidate and validate data from multiple systems, creating clean, trusted datasets.
• Develop automated, scheduled data flows and refreshes to reduce manual handling.
• Analyse data to identify trends, anomalies, root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and KPIs for field and regional leaders.
• Translate operational requirements into practical dashboards and analytical outputs.
• Support regular performance and regulatory reporting with accurate, auditable outputs.
• Explain technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders and drive continuous learning.
