Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are once again looking to recruit a Performance Analyst.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Silverstream Technologies, a market-leading clean technology company at the forefront of ship efficiency solutions and maritime decarbonisation. Silverstream is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology to reduce fuel burn and harmful emissions from oceangoing vessels.

Reporting To: Head of Performance

Location: London / Southampton office, including Hybrid Working

The Performance Analyst will be responsible for the prediction, validation, monitoring, and improvement of ALS performance. This includes planning and executing the performance team’s core activities (development of performance estimates, analysis, monitoring, and improvement plans) as well as assisting with research and development activities in the performance space.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

1. Higher Degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, or an equivalent subject.
2. Experience in conducting trials at sea, specifically related to ship performance, is desirable. Experience managing experimental research related to ship performance and/or energy efficiency technologies is also desirable.
3. A basic knowledge of ship resistance, propulsion, and hydrodynamics is essential. Demonstrable knowledge of ISO/ITTC standards associated with ship performance is desirable.
4. Ability to code is essential. Knowledge of Python is desirable.
5. Chartered Status as an Engineer is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a clear pathway to achieving this status.
