Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a per diem Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations and operate real-time imaging equipment. The role involves patient interaction, image selection, quality control, and collaboration with Radiologists during interpretations. Education requires an Associate degree or equivalent.

Licenses include MIRT and RDMS or eligible (RVT eligible where applicable). CPR certification within 90 days and registration within 18 months of DOH are required.

Mansioni

• Review medical record for patient history and supporting clinical data. Explain procedure to patient; provide patient support and comfort.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform examination with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy to obtain optimal studies.
• Select and record preliminary study results; present study to Radiologist for interpretation.
• Consult with Radiologists about unusual scans and assist with interpretation.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure quality control procedures are maintained.
• Order and maintain supplies; keep ultrasound suites orderly.
• Perform peripheral arterial physiologic studies when applicable.
• Perform duties related to interventional procedures.
• May perform reception/clerk duties for the Ultrasound department.
• Demonstrate competency in use of computer information systems and keep up-to-date with imaging techniques.
