Mary Washington Healthcare seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to prepare patients and perform ultrasound exams under Radiologist supervision. You will produce high-quality images, verify orders and patient histories, and present findings with related studies for interpretation.

The role requires accreditation in ultrasound or cross-training, AHA BLS, and ARDMS/ARRT credentials with registry within 12 months if not already achieved. EMR experience is preferred.

Qualificações

• Completion of accredited program in ultrasound or MWHC/MIF cross-training program, or twelve months relevant experience.
• AHA BLS Provider is required.
• ARDMS (AB or OB/GYN or VT) or ARRT (S) required at time of hire; registry required within twelve months if not obtained at hire.
• Registry in Abdomen (AB), Vascular (VT), and Pediatric Sonography (PS) preferred.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR, Radiology systems and information systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patients for ultrasound examinations by confirming orders, verifying identities, and obtaining medical histories.
• Performs ultrasound examinations on all patient age groups and maintains competency.
• Adheres to policies and protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains a safe environment and disinfects equipment per standards.
• supervises and instructs students within the ultrasound program.
• Monitors inventory and ensures supply continuity.
• Documents patient information and procedural data for billing and records.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
