Job description

People Team Coordinator

Application Deadline: 29 August 2026

Department: People & Culture

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Skibo Castle, Highland

Compensation: £30,000 / year

Description

Our People and Culture team plays a vital role in creating a workplace where colleagues feel welcomed, supported and able to do their very best work.

We're looking for a highly organised, proactive and people-focused Coordinator who shares that passion. Someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and helping create a positive colleague experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their career in People and Culture. You don't need to come to us knowing everything; what matters most is your ability to communicate, stay organised, use your initiative and have a genuine interest in supporting others.

Working as part of our People and Culture team, you'll gain experience across the full colleague journey, from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll, learning and development, employee relations, engagement and everything in between.

This is a varied, fast-paced and hands-on role, with plenty of opportunity to learn, get involved and grow with us.

About The Role

As a People & Culture Coordinator, you will:

  • Build positive relationships with managers and colleagues across the Club, becoming a trusted first point of contact for day-to-day People and Culture support.
  • Coordinate recruitment through Pinpoint, including vacancy administration, candidate communication, interviews, offers and pre-employment checks.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding, helping us create a positive experience from a colleague's first interaction with Skibo through to their last.
  • Prepare contracts, letters and People and Culture documentation, maintaining accurate and confidential colleague records.
  • Learn and support the full payroll process through Moorepay, building the knowledge and confidence to take an active role in ensuring our colleagues are paid accurately and on time.
  • Support managers with day-to-day people matters, developing your knowledge of employee relations and employment practices as your experience grows.
  • Coordinate inductions, mandatory training and wider learning and development activity.
  • Get involved in colleague engagement, wellbeing, recognition and internal communications.
  • Support with projects and bring your own ideas for how we can continue to improve the colleague experience.
  • Help keep the People and Culture function organised, responsive and running smoothly.
About You

You might already work in HR or People and Culture, or your experience might come from administration, hospitality, customer service or another people-focused environment.

More than anything, we're looking for someone with the right attitude, plenty of enthusiasm and a genuine desire to learn, develop and build a career in People and Culture.

You will bring:

  • A warm, approachable and people-focused attitude.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with colleagues and managers across the Club.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to use your initiative.
  • Confidence using systems and learning new tools.
  • The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information professionally.
  • Curiosity, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in developing your People and Culture knowledge.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or people-focused role would be beneficial.
  • If you already hold a CIPD qualification or are working towards one, that would be great, but it isn't essential.
Benefits
  • Share of gratuities
  • 33 days annual leave pro-rata
  • Auto enrolment pension scheme
  • Occupational sick pay
  • Family friendly support
  • Life assurance cover
  • Access to wellbeing platforms providing support on nutrition, exercise, health, finances, legal support and more
  • Cycle to work and tech scheme
  • Free meals on shift
  • Complimentary use of staff gym
