Job summary

Medivet Group is seeking an HR Generalist to be a trusted contact for clinic leaders, offering practical guidance on people matters. You will support onboarding, change processes and colleague queries, while guiding managers through employee relations and data accuracy in Workday.

You will coach managers to handle day-to-day people issues and collaborate with People Partners on engagement, performance and change projects across our network of clinics.

Qualifications

• Experience in a generalist HR or People role.
• Provide practical, consistent advice to managers.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach to queries and cases.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience using HR systems; Workday would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach with sound judgement and discretion.

Location: Watford Support Centre, with occasional travel to our clinics

In this role you’ll be a trusted first point of contact for our clinic leaders, providing practical advice and guidance on a wide range of people matters. From supporting the colleague journey and managing people queries to guiding managers through employee relations matters, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our people processes run smoothly and consistently.

What you’ll do:

• Being a trusted People contact: Building strong relationships with managers and leaders across your networks, providing accessible, practical and timely people advice.


• Supporting the colleague journey: Coordinating key people processes, including onboarding, job changes and colleague queries, ensuring managers and colleagues have everything they need.


• Managing people queries: Taking ownership of complex queries and cases from start to finish, working collaboratively with other teams to ensure a great service for our clinics.


• Providing employee relations support: Guiding managers through routine employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and escalating more complex cases when needed.


• Building manager confidence: Coaching and supporting managers to handle day-to-day people matters effectively and proactively.


• Keeping our people systems accurate: Managing relevant Workday transactions and maintaining high standards of data quality and process compliance.


• Driving continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve guidance and make the colleague and manager experience even better.


• Supporting wider People initiatives: Working alongside People Partners to support engagement, performance, organisational change and other People projects.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in a generalist HR or People role, with a good understanding of core HR processes and employee relations.


• Confidence supporting managers with people matters and providing practical, consistent advice.


• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to take ownership of queries and see them through to resolution.


• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.


• Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate people data; experience with Workday would be an advantage.


• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at different levels.


• A collaborative approach, sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
