Job summary

MidKent College is offering a People Shared Services Apprentice to join our People Team and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of People processes.

This apprenticeship provides an opportunity to learn on the job while completing your apprenticeship qualification, covering recruitment, onboarding, pre-employment checks, employee records, payroll administration, contracts, learning and development, and more.

Qualifications

• No prior HR experience required; eager to learn and develop in People/HR.
• Organised and reliable with good attention to detail.
• Confident, professional communication skills.
• Enjoy helping and supporting others.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback and grow skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across recruitment and onboarding, pre-employment checks, employee records, payroll administration, contracts, learning and development and more.
• Work with experienced People professionals to build knowledge and practical HR skills.

Are you organised, approachable and interested in starting a career in HR? We're looking for a People Shared Services Apprentice to join our friendly People Team and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of People processes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn while you work, alongside completing your apprenticeship qualification. You'll gain experience in recruitment and onboarding, pre-employment checks, employee records, payroll administration, contracts, learning and development and much more.

You'll work alongside experienced People professionals who will support your development, helping you build the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed for a successful career in HR.

• Communicates confidently and professionally.
