Job summary

Lawhive, a global AI-native law firm with offices in London, is hiring a People Operations Associate. You’ll play a vital role across the entire employee lifecycle, helping build scalable, people-first processes for both UK and US teams.

You’ll join a small, hands-on People team with exposure to HR projects end-to-end, and you’ll work on onboarding, contracts, payroll support, and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in People Operations or HR coordination.
• Hands-on onboarding experience, contracts and changes.
• Experience across the full employee lifecycle.
• Payroll exposure in UK or US is a bonus.
• Experience with international collaboration, especially the US, is a plus.
• Familiarity with HR tools (HiBob, Ashby, Notion) and handling sensitive data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Proactive mindset to identify and fix inefficiencies.
• People-first attitude and genuine interest in helping teams thrive.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding from contract to day one, including inductions and setup of accounts and equipment.
• Be the main contact for new joiners during pre-boarding and keep them informed.
• Manage employee lifecycle admin: contracts, letters, documentation.
• Handle offboarding processes for smooth transitions and compliance.
• Manage probation processes and tracking through to completion.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy (HiBob) and up-to-date records.
• Support monthly UK/US payroll inputs and collaborate with People & Finance.
• Answer employee queries on people topics and payroll, escalate when needed.
• Support key people projects: performance cycles, pay reviews, benefits rollout.
• Drive engagement and DEI initiatives; identify process improvements.
