Job summary

Eastlands Venue Services Ltd is seeking a People Operations Supervisor to oversee event-day staffing at Co-op Live. You will manage casual staff check-in, uniform distribution, welfare, and post-event processes, coordinating with the People Operations Department on accreditation, time and attendance and related logistics.

You will lead a team of casual People Assistants, ensuring smooth operations, strong communication, and flexible scheduling, including weekend and late shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within events, hospitality, stadium, arena or venue operations.
• Experience leading a team in fast-paced operational environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and late hours (finish times between 12am-2am).
• Organised and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience maintaining positive relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Event-Day Staff Ingress: check-in, accreditation, uniform distribution, area allocation, time and attendance capture.
• Event-Day Staff Support: welfare, conflict management, troubleshoot staffing queries, oversee staff food distribution.
• Event-Day Staff Egress: end-of-event procedures, uniform returns, signing-out, safe staff exit.
• Team Leadership: act as main contact and leader for casual People Assistants.
• Uniform, Stock and Laundry: inventory, laundry collection/returns, stock management, liaise with laundry company.

Description

As a People Operations Supervisor at Co-op Live, you’ll be at the heart of our event-day staffing operation, making sure our casual workforce is checked in, kitted out, looked after and safely on their way home. You’ll lead a team of casual People Assistants and work alongside the People Operations Department on everything from accreditation, uniform distribution and time and attendance to staff feeding, laundry and resolving any staffing queries as they come up.

Compensation: £13.45 - £14.50 / hour

Day To Day Key Responsibilities

Event-Day Staff Ingress

• Support the People Operations Department with staff arrival, including check-in, accreditation, uniform distribution, allocation to work areas and time and attendance capture.

Event-Day Staff Support

• Support the casual workforce during their shifts, including welfare support and conflict management where necessary.
• Work alongside the People Operations Department to troubleshoot any staffing queries or issues.
• Oversee the allocation and distribution of staff food during break periods.

Event-Day Staff Egress

• Support the People Operations Department with the end of the event, including uniform returns, signing-out procedures and the safe exit of staff from the arena.

Team Leadership

• Act as the main point of contact and leader for casual People Assistants.

Uniform, Stock and Laundry

• Ensure all items used in staffing operations, including uniform and equipment, are inventoried.
• Manage laundry collections and returns, including stock management and liaison with the laundry company.

Essential

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Previous experience within events, hospitality, retail, stadium, arena or venue operations.
• Experience supporting large teams in a fast-paced operational or event environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Flexibility to work weekends and late hours (finish times between 12am-2am).
• Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Previous experience of leading a team and maintaining positive relationships at all levels.

Desirable

• Experience working with workforce management, scheduling or time and attendance systems.
• Understanding of Right to Work, accreditation or workforce compliance processes.
• Experience managing uniform, stock or equipment inventories.
• First Aid Qualification.
