Job summary

Oak View Group’s Co-op Live venue seeks a Production Manager to support the Senior Production Manager and Venue Management team in planning and delivery of all events.

As part of the Production Team you will lead the production operation for allocated events, coordinating with promoters, touring staff, contractors and suppliers while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and excellence to create amazing shows.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting/adapting plans in AutoCAD or similar software (≤140 chars).
• Experience dealing with rigging contractors and operations (≤140 chars).
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical/production requirements (≤140 chars).
• Experienced at managing and supervising production teams (≤140 chars).
• Experience across multiple production disciplines and practices (≤140 chars).

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Production Manager in delivery of all events at Co-op Live.
• Lead production management for allocated events including budget management and safety compliance.
• Plan and liaise with promoters and touring staff; produce AutoCAD event plans when needed.
• Communicate requirements across all Co-op Live teams.
• Manage venue crew, riggers and production staff during build/break.
• Oversee format changes between events with Facilities Management and contractors.
• Assist with planning and delivery of in-house special events.
• Support statutory maintenance/inspection schedule on production equipment with HSE.
• Monitor/report KPIs and SLAs for suppliers and contractors.
• Serve as Duty Production Manager for rota-based events.
• Assist the Senior Production Manager and Head of Venue Management when required.
• Work 5 days out of 7 including evenings and weekends.

Job description

The Production Manager will support the Senior Production Manager, Venue Management team and Co-op Live team in planning and delivery of all events.

Working as part of the Venue Management team you will form an integral part of the Production Team driving success from the front, leading the production operation for allocated events, developing positive relationships with incoming production teams, promoters, contractors and suppliers and ensuring regulatory compliance, industry requirements and excellence to create amazing shows.

Other venues/employers may refer to this role as Venue Production Manager, Event Production Manager, Technical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Production Manager in delivery of all events at Co-op Live.
• Take the lead for production management of allocated events including budget management and safety compliance.
• Planning and liaison with promoters and touring technical staff in the lead up to allocated events Complete AutoCAD drawings for event plans when required.
• Effectively communicate across all Co-op Live teams ensuring relevant departments are aware of requirements.
• Management of venue crew, riggers and production staff during build and break.
• Oversee format changes between events working closely with the Facilities Management team, venue crew and other contractors.
• Assisting the Co-op Live team with planning, preparation and delivery of any in-house special events.
• Support the Senior Production Manager with the statutory maintenance and inspection schedule on all production equipment, working closely with the Health and Safety Manager and Head of Facilities Management.
• Monitor and report on KPIs and SLAs for suppliers and contractors.
• To be Duty Production Manager for events as part of a rota system.
• Assist the Senior Production Manager and Head of Venue Management where required.
• Working 5 days out of 7 including evenings and weekends

Essential

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• IPAF 3A license holder
