Job summary

Freemans Event Partners is seeking a Casual People Event Manager to support onsite workforce operations at events in Bolton. You’ll welcome staff, guide them to their zones, and help ensure smooth delivery of event teams.

This flexible, event-based role suits people who enjoy fast-paced environments and working behind the scenes at live events. Hours are event-based with shifts on weekends, evenings and event days.

Responsibilities

• Staff Check-In: Welcome employees onsite, record attendance and direct to their locations.
• Workforce Coordination: Help staff find allocated areas and support changes during the event.
• Presentation Standards: Ensure teams wear correct uniform and are ready to work.
• Attendance Monitoring: Track lateness, absences, and staffing movements.
• People Support: Be the first point of contact for staff queries and minor issues.
• Performance Monitoring: Observe staff and provide feedback to deployment team.
• Timesheets & Reporting: Ensure hours are recorded and post‑event reports filed.
• Communication: Liaise with venue management and internal managers to keep operations smooth.

What will you be doing?

As a Casual People Event Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the smooth delivery of our onsite workforce operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Staff Check-In: Welcoming employees onsite, recording attendance and ensuring everyone knows where they need to be.
• Workforce Coordination: Helping staff find their allocated working areas and supporting operational changes throughout the event.
• Presentation Standards: Ensuring our teams arrive in the correct uniform and are ready to work.
• Attendance Monitoring: Tracking lateness, absences, no-shows and staffing movements.
• People Support: Being the first point of contact for staff queries, welfare concerns and minor onsite issues.
• Performance Monitoring: Observing staff performance and providing constructive feedback to our People Deployment Team.
• Timesheets & Reporting: Ensuring hours worked are accurately recorded and submitting clear post-event reports.
• Communication: Liaising with venue management and our internal People Event Managers to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Previous experience in event management, hospitality supervision, workforce coordination or team leadership would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

We're particularly interested in people who have experience managing teams in busy, customer-facing environments.

How does the role work?

You won't be expected to recruit or schedule staff.

Our permanent People Deployment Team will take care of the planning, allowing you to focus on delivering a fantastic onsite experience.
