Job summary

Catch22 is seeking a People Operations Officer to deliver a customer-focused HR processing service across multiple areas of the organisation. You will work with Service Managers to ensure adherence to HR policies, processes and practices, including role approvals, onboarding and leaver processes, and TUPE adaptations.

Based at our Brasted office with potential travel to services, you will support with payroll-related changes, absence management, and confidential investigations.

Qualifications

• An understanding of, or keen interest in HR is essential, while some experience of the area would be desirable.
• Strong administrative skills including Word and Excel; experience with mail merge and databases.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrates building strong working relationships, customer service ethos, calm under pressure, time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Using the ATS system to approve and publish roles.
• Carrying out background checks and onboarding new staff.
• Issuing offer letters and contracts of employment.
• Administering the leaver processes.
• Processing variations to contracts and payroll changes and entering timesheets.
• Monitoring key events and dates relevant to employment and taking action.
• Collating TUPE data and implementing payroll/records for TUPE transfers.
• Managing absence processes including annual leave, sickness, maternity and paternity.
• Preparing redundancy calculations.
• Supporting grievance and disciplinary investigations and taking notes.
• Assisting managers with informal and Stage 1 sickness absence cases.
• Maintaining privacy and confidentiality in all enquiries.
