Job summary

Cellular Origins is seeking a hands-on People Operations professional to own payroll, HR systems, benefits and compliance, while managing the employee lifecycle. You’ll work across payroll, HR platforms and reporting, balancing accuracy with a practical, employee-focused approach.

As a new role, there’s scope to shape processes and use technology to simplify work for employees, managers and the People team.

Qualifications

• Experience of People operations and managed payroll services.
• Experience with HR and payroll systems; familiarity with Cezanne and Moorepay is advantageous.
• Organised, curious about process improvement and ownership of workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own employee lifecycle administration, including contracts, starters, changes and leavers.
• Take ownership of monthly payroll with Moorepay and payroll changes.
• Be a key owner of our HR system, ensuring data integrity, GDPR compliance and record retention.
• Coordinate benefits enrolment with providers to ensure effective processes.
• Support annual pay review activity with data prep, modelling and letters.
• Manage right to work and DBS checks, and sponsor licence administration tasks.
• Help keep mandatory training up to date and support the learning management system.
• Turn people data into insights to aid decision-making across the team.
• Explore automation to reduce manual work and improve usability of People processes.
• Provide cover for the Talent Acquisition Partner when needed.
• Collaborate with the People team to deliver an exceptional employee experience.
