Job summary

Orbital, the AI platform for real estate legal work, is seeking a People Operations lead to own the systems, the data and the payroll processes across UK and US. You will drive automation and configure HRIS workflows, supporting a scaling team with autonomy and high standards.

Reporting to the People Director, you will manage background screening, deadlines and employee questions while driving continuous improvements to processes and tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience in People Operations or HR Operations at a level where you have built or improved parts of it.
• Hands-on with an HRIS beyond basic use: configuring workflows and making the system work better.
• Meticulous attention to payroll inputs and sensitive employee data.
• Ability to establish quickly and operate autonomously, proposing solutions.
• Comfortable in a scaling environment where not all processes are finished yet.

Responsibilities

• Own the People operations engine: onboarding new joiners, UK/US payroll inputs, benefits administration, changes to data.
• Handle background screening and transactional employee questions, meeting deadlines.
• Lead projects to configure workflows and tooling improvements.
