Job summary

MrQ in the United Kingdom is building a scalable People Ops platform and seeks a hands-on HRIS and payroll lead who will own end-to-end payroll and lifecycle, design workflows, and drive automation and AI across HR operations.

You will join a small team responsible for integrations with payroll, benefits and finance, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and self-serve reporting while delivering precise monthly payroll for UK, Malta and Gibraltar.

Qualifications

• You live inside an HRIS, you understand payroll end-to-end, and you know what must be automated.
• You design workflows, integrations and AI to run HR Ops continuously.
• You ensure data integrity and audit-ready records across systems.
• You know what requires judgement vs. automation and when to escalate.

Responsibilities

• Own the HRIS: configuration, data integrity, workflow design, integrations with payroll, benefits and finance.
• Automate repetitive, low-value steps with workflows, integrations and AI.
• Own the employee lifecycle: joiners, movers, leavers, contracts, changes with clean data flows.
• Own payroll end-to-end for UK, Malta and Gibraltar with accuracy and auditability.
• Make reporting self-serve for headcount, attrition and payroll costs.
• Own the compliance workflow and enable auditable, versioned policies and records.
