Job summary

EnerSys operates as a global leader in stored energy solutions, with a Newport site where a People Operations Advisor will play a key role in delivering a high-quality employee experience.

You will partner with managers and employees to optimize HR operations, data, and systems while driving improvements and digital innovation in People & Culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a People & Culture Advisor or similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence working with People & Culture systems and data.
• Interest in digital People & Culture and AI-driven tools.

Responsibilities

• Support people & managers: provide day-to-day People & Culture advice to line managers.
• Support employee relations cases, including absence, disciplinaries and grievances.
• Build strong relationships across the site.
• Deliver the employee lifecycle: support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Prepare contracts, offer letters, and employee documentation.
• Conduct exit interviews and identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain People & Culture systems and ensure data accuracy.
• Produce reports to support business decision-making.
• Support payroll coordination and People & Culture audits.
• Drive HR innovation: identify opportunities to improve processes and employee experience.
• Support digital People & Culture initiatives across the business.
• Contribute to culture & projects: support engagement initiatives and transformation plans.
• Deliver training sessions and People & Culture workshops.
• Contribute to the "Great Place to Work" journey.
