We’re not your typical law firm – we’re people with a passion for helping our clients and each other achieve the best possible outcomes. We are leading legal advisers to the insurance and commercial sectors across the UK & Ireland, known for our innovation, client focus, and long‑lasting relationships. We do things differently, with a forward‑thinking approach built around our clients’ needs, supported by cutting‑edge technology and a culture built around people from a wide range of backgrounds who are taking an equally wide range of routes to building their careers in law.

Within this role, you will partner with the business to ensure our people have the skills, tools, and support they need to perform effectively. The position sits within the People Development team and focuses on onboarding new starters, supporting career development, and contributing to the delivery of Emerging Talent programmes.

What you’ll be doing
  • Deliver the HF induction programme alongside other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for our new starters, embedding our culture and values.
  • Work with line managers and other stakeholders to help onboard new starters into their teams effectively.
  • Assist in the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning interventions and initiatives across the firm aimed at increasing capability and productivity.
  • Deliver and improve programmes using a mix of in‑person and online sessions to suit different learning styles.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers, helping them solve people‑related challenges with practical solutions.
  • Manage key elements of our Emerging Talent programmes, including delivery of training, arranging collaborative developmental events, and creating a positive and supportive framework for growth.
  • Maintain and update the Learning Management System so content is easy to access and useful.
  • Use feedback and data to improve development activities and demonstrate impact.
  • Understand the company’s promotion process and support employees in planning their career paths.
  • Work closely with the People team to adapt to changing priorities, including emerging talent programmes, learning management systems, promotions, events, inductions, and acquisitions.
  • Collaborate across the People team to support wider projects and priorities.
  • Contribute to team meetings and share ideas that improve how we support the business.
What do I need?
  • Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions that meet business needs.
  • Previous experience of using a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • A team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a passion for lifelong learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor for the audience.
  • Comfortable using data to improve processes and demonstrate impact.
  • Organised and able to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaborative and flexible approach to working across teams.
