Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role supports leaders with strategic HR, manages complex employee relations, and drives a high-performance culture during a period of growth, with location flexibility between Cullompton and Shepton Mallet.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD Level 5 qualified with 7+ years HR experience, strong UK employment law knowledge, and a proven track record in business-focused people

Qualificações

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in HR, Employee Relations, People & Culture or Business Partnering roles.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Proven experience managing complex Employee Relations casework.
• Experience partnering with leaders to deliver business-focused people solutions.
• Ability to influence, challenge and coach stakeholders at all levels.

Job Description: Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced business?

We're seeking an experienced and commercially minded People & Culture Business Partner to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Working closely with leaders across the business, you'll provide strategic people support, navigate complex employee relations matters and help drive a high-performance culture.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate people professional who enjoys building strong relationships, influencing decision-making and delivering practical solutions that enhance both employee experience and business performance Key Responsibilities: Partner with leaders and managers to provide strategic and operational People & Culture support.

Build strong relationships across the business, acting as a trusted advisor on a broad range of people matters.

Partner with managers to proactively address people challenges and lead complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, long-term sickness, capability, AWOL and tribunal‑related matters.

Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in managing people effectively.

Support organisational change initiatives, driving engagement and ensuring successful implementation.

Provide clear and pragmatic guidance on employment legislation, policies and procedures.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider People & Culture function to ensure a seamless and professional service.

Analyse people trends and data to identify opportunities, risks and areas for continuous improvement.

Contribute to key People & Culture projects and annual cyclical activities, including performance reviews, salary reviews and employee engagement initiatives.

Share best practice and lessons learned to help improve people processes, policies and ways of working.

Requirements: CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent). Minimum 7 years' experience within Human Resources, Employee Relations, People & Culture or Business Partnering roles.

Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

Proven experience managing complex Employee Relations casework.

Experience partnering with leaders and managers to deliver business-focused people solutions.

Ability to influence, challenge and coach stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem‑solving skills.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
