Job summary

KD Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced People and HR professional to focus on employee relations at a Harrogate-based manufacturing business. The role involves refining HR policies in partnership with legal, empowering managers with clear procedures, and leveraging HR software to manage employee data across a complex structure.

You will collaborate with the L&D team to support retention, succession planning, and overall cultural development, while delivering monthly HR reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of employee relations within a complex structure.

• Prepare and submit monthly and annual HR data reports.
• Understand and navigate the cultural landscape and its relationship with the parent company.

We are working exclusively with a fantastic Manufacturing business in Harrogate. Due to a restructure and continued growth, they are now looking for a new People and HR person to join their people team, specialising on the ER side, working along wide their Learning and Development colleague.

What the People and HR job involves

• This role is central to ensuring the smooth running of employee relations within a complex business structure.
• Reviewing and refining HR policies, working closely with legal teams to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Developing clear and accessible policies for managers to implement independently, fostering a culture of empowerment.
• Maximising the utilisation of the HR software to centralise and manage all employee information effectively.
• Preparing and submitting monthly and annual HR data reports.
• Understanding and navigating the cultural landscape and its relationship with the parent company.
• Reviewing the employee retention and attraction process, working closely with the L&D colleague to support future growth and succession plans.

Skills required

Other information

• Full time 37.5 hours per week, with flexible start times
• Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annually, plus bank holidays.
• Pension Scheme: 6% employer contribution, 3% employee contribution.
