Job summary

Ace HR Solutions in the East Yorkshire area is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the people agenda across the business. You will partner with managers at all levels to build a high-performing culture while ensuring best practice in all HR domains.

The role is a true generalist with significant autonomy and influence, reporting to senior leadership and owning the employee lifecycle end-to-end. A CIPD Level 5 qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in a generalist HR management role.
  • Strong employee relations experience with complex cases.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR practice.
  • Experience with recruitment, onboarding, talent management and succession planning.
  • Knowledge of learning and development and organisational development.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence and build credibility across levels.
  • Experience supporting change initiatives and business transformation.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with HR systems.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach and problem-solving abilities.

As they continue to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join the senior leadership team and lead the people agenda across the organisation.

This is a true generalist position offering significant autonomy, influence and variety. You'll act as the trusted HR lead for the business, partnering with managers at all levels to create a positive, high‑performing workplace culture while ensuring best practice across all areas of HR.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive HR service across the business, supporting both operational and strategic objectives.

This is a highly visible role where you'll take ownership of all aspects of the employee lifecycle, providing expert advice, guidance and support to managers and employees alike.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading all employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and investigations.
  • Coaching and supporting managers on people‑related issues and leadership development.
  • Managing recruitment and talent acquisition activities to attract and retain high‑calibre employees.
  • Driving workforce planning, succession planning and talent management initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing learning and development strategies across the business.
  • Supporting performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Reviewing, developing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Using HR data and insights to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting organisational change, restructuring and business transformation activities.
  • Working closely with payroll colleagues to ensure efficient and compliant payroll processes.
  • Creating internal communications and promoting a positive company culture.
About You

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, people‑focused approach.

You will ideally have:
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Significant experience within a generalist HR management role.
  • Strong employee relations experience and the confidence to manage complex cases.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience of recruitment, onboarding, talent management and succession planning.
  • Knowledge of learning and development and organisational development principles.
