Job summary

KD Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced People and HR professional to focus on employee relations at a Harrogate-based manufacturing business. The role involves refining HR policies in partnership with legal, empowering managers with clear procedures, and leveraging HR software to manage employee data across a complex structure.

You will collaborate with the L&D team to support retention, succession planning, and overall cultural development, while delivering monthly HR reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in employee relations or HR policy implementation.
• Strong understanding of employment law and compliance.
• Ability to develop clear, manager-friendly HR policies.
• Excellent communication across all management levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of employee relations within a complex structure.
• Review and refine HR policies with legal teams for compliance and best practice.
• Develop clear policies for managers to implement independently.
• Maximise usage of HR software to centralise employee data.
• Prepare and submit monthly and annual HR data reports.
• Understand and navigate the cultural landscape and its relationship with the parent company.
• Support retention and attraction processes with the Learning & Development colleague.
