Job summary

Lydiate Learning Trust is seeking an enthusiastic People Advisor to join our People and Culture Team. You will provide expert HR guidance across employee relations, supporting leaders and ensuring a positive employee experience across our schools.

You will handle a varied caseload, advise managers on disciplinary, absence, capability and wellbeing matters, and help develop leadership capability while promoting inclusion and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling employee relations casework.
• Strong generalist HR knowledge and understanding of UK employment law.
• Ability to advise managers and build credible relationships.
• Experience in education, public sector, or complex organisations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee relations and people management.
• Manage a varied caseload including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and investigations.
• Support leaders to build confidence and capability in managing people.
• Contribute to wellbeing, engagement and workforce development initiatives.
• Ensure HR policies and practices comply with employment law.
• Support recruitment, talent management and succession planning.
• Use people data to support informed decisions and continuous improvement.
• Promote a positive and inclusive culture across schools and central services.
