Job summary

We are looking for a Full Time HR People Advisor to join our team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract in Hemel Hempstead. As an HR People Advisor, you will partner with the HR Manager and operate as a true generalist, managing the day-to-day running of the HR department at the site.

Role details:

Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Working pattern: Monday to Friday

Location: Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7PZ

What you’ll do:

• Ensure the operational success and development of the HR department, working closely with senior site management
• Manage employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance issues
• Handle absence management
• Deliver induction training for new starters and update welcome pack information
• Carry out HR administration tasks such as starters, leavers, referencing, security, and compliance checks
• Assist with recruitment and selection processes on site

Who you are:

• Experience in a similar HR Advisory/Officer role
• Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards it
• Previous experience in FMCG, logistics, or supply chain sectors is highly desirable, as is exposure to a unionised environment
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
