Job summary

Dignity in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham is seeking a People Advisor (Employee Relations) to provide expert guidance to managers on a wide range of ER matters, manage casework from start to finish, and help deliver a positive employee experience. The role requires solid ER experience, strong knowledge of UK employment law, CIPD Level 5, and stakeholder skills.

Position: People Advisor (Employee Relations)

Location: Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham

Job Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract (18-months)

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

What You’ll Be Doing As a to managers and colleagues across the organisation, you'll provide expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, helping to risk while delivering practical, people-focused solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing employee relations casework from start to finish, including investigations, hearings and outcomes.
  • Advising and coaching managers on performance, and employee relations matters.
  • Supporting the delivery of people initiatives through data, insights and reporting.
  • Delivering and supporting people management training across the business.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and wider People team.
  • Supporting the delivery of a positive people agenda throughout the employee lifecycle.
What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who employee relations expertise with stakeholder management skills and a genuine passion for helping people succeed.

You’ll ideally have:
  • Proven experience managing employee relations casework and advising managers on a wide range of ER matters.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, policy interpretation and procedural Experience coaching and managers to achieve positive people outcomes.
  • communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality documentation and reports.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Advanced stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
  • Experience using HR systems and data to support decision-making.
  • Adaptable, resilient and comfortable managing conversations.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or above), or equivalent experience.
