Job summary

Diverse Academies Trust is seeking a proactive People Advisor to join our People Team. The role covers 37 hours per week (term time) across our Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire academies and central services, with the contract spanning Diverse Academies Trust locations.

You will provide high-quality guidance on policies, support attendance, wellbeing, disciplinary and capability matters, and coach managers to strengthen people management across the Trust.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within an HR or People function.
  • Experience providing advice and guidance on People/HR policies, procedures and employment practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards this qualification).
  • Commitment to confidentiality, integrity and professional standards.
  • Experience within education, the public sector, employee relations casework, workforce reporting or trade union engagement would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and values-driven People Advisor to join our People Team and help shape an exceptional colleague experience across our 16 academies and central services based in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a People/HR professional who is passionate about people, thrives on building relationships and enjoys helping managers navigate people related challenges with confidence.

As a People Advisor, you will provide high-quality advice, guidance and support on a range of employee relations and people matters, helping leaders create positive, inclusive and high-performing teams. Working closely with our Senior People Advisor and People Partners, you will support managers with attendance, wellbeing, capability, conduct and wider employee relations matters, ensuring that our people practices are fair, consistent and aligned to our values.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to broaden your People/HR experience across a large and diverse organisation while making a genuine difference to the people who support our children and young people every day.

What you'll be doing

You will have:

  • Experience working within an HR or People function.
  • Experience providing advice and guidance on People/HR policies, procedures and employment practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A professional, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) or be working towards this qualification.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, integrity and professional standards.

Experience within education, the public sector, employee relations casework, workforce reporting or trade union engagement would be advantageous.

Travel

This is a Trust-wide role requiring regular travel across our academies and central locations, Our locations - Diverse Academies Trust . The successful candidate will be comfortable working flexibly across multiple sites and developing relationships with leaders and colleagues throughout the Trust.
