Job summary

Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) is seeking aSystem Developments Section Manager to lead the Developments & Technologies team and drive system improvements across pension administration services.

You will deliver projects from scoping to implementation, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure governance and compliance, and embed changes into day-to-day operations while supporting continuous service transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the System Developments team: provide clear leadership, set priorities, monitor performance, support colleagues to grow and deliver high quality service.
• Drive system improvement and innovation: identify, assess and implement enhancements, new modules, and technologies to boost efficiency and data quality.
• Deliver projects and new initiatives: lead scoping to implementation, produce business cases, plans and risk logs, considering benefits, costs and resources.
• Collaborate with GMPF stakeholders: build strong relationships to ensure developments are designed and communicated effectively.
• Support governance, risk and compliance: ensure developments meet legal, regulatory, data protection and policy requirements, with risks monitored and managed.
• Embed change into business as usual: plan training, communication and handover to ensure new systems and processes are adopted.
