As Member Services Section Manager, you will lead a specialist service area within the Member Services function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused pension administration services. You will drive continuous improvement, support operational excellence, and ensure our members receive an exceptional service at every stage of their pension journey.
Oversee the day-to-day delivery of pension administration services within your assigned section, ensuring all casework is processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements, service standards, and Fund policies.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance service quality, and increase operational efficiency. Support the implementation of innovative technologies, systems, and ways of working that improve outcomes for members and stakeholders.
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of pension professionals, creating a positive and high-performing culture that encourages accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous professional development.
Ensure members and beneficiaries receive a responsive, accurate, and empathetic service. Promote a culture where member needs are understood and delivered against, balancing quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
Support the implementation of robust controls and quality assurance arrangements within your section, ensuring compliance with LGPS regulations, Fund policies, internal procedures, and audit requirements.
Work collaboratively with managers and colleagues across Member Services and wider Fund teams to improve service delivery, resolve complex issues, share best practice, and contribute to the achievement of organisational objectives.
