Job summary

Standard Life is seeking an experienced Transaction Manager to lead pricing, negotiation and execution of Bulk Purchase Annuity transactions in the UK, based in London with flexible hybrid working. You will own deal management from pricing through to contract completion, delivering robust governance and client outcomes.

You will combine actuarial expertise with commercial judgement, build strong relationships with trustees and advisers, and mentor junior colleagues to strengthen the team.

Qualifications

• Experienced pensions professional with a track record delivering Bulk Purchase Annuity transactions.
• Strong technical expertise in valuing pension liabilities and complex benefits structures.
• Proven ability to work with trustees, sponsors and advisers to UK Defined Benefit schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of deal management for small/medium BPA transactions through to contract completion.
• Support senior colleagues on delivery of larger, more complex transactions.
• Lead pricing, negotiation and execution with cross-workstream coordination.
• Ensure pricing accuracy, governance and compliance with risk requirements.
• Mentor actuarial trainees and develop internal talent.
