Job summary

Standard Life, a leading UK retirement specialist, is expanding its Pension Risk Transfer team. The role focuses on pricing and execution of Bulk Purchase Annuity and reinsurance transactions within a growing, market-leading business.

You will work with experienced actuaries and commercial stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions for large, complex schemes. As a PRT Deal Team Actuary, you will develop cash flow models, collaborate across teams, coach juniors and present technical analyses to

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary
• Experience with actuarial cash flow modelling for bespoke projects
• Strong knowledge of defined benefit pensions (GMP, franking, deferred benefits)
• Exposure to Solvency II and the Matching Adjustment and bulk annuity modelling/pricing

Responsibilities

• Pricing and execution of bulk annuity transactions.
• Lead production of cash flow and pricing models for BPA transactions with robust controls.
• Support BPA pricing and execution across deal teams (reinsurance, asset & capital management).
• Navigate complexities and non-standard requests with the Deal Lead.
• Develop and coach junior team members.
• Build, document, run and maintain actuarial models.
• Present technical content to internal/external stakeholders.
