Core-Asset Consulting is partnering with a leading financial services firm to recruit a Senior Specialist - Pension Drawdown in Newcastle. You will oversee end-to-end pension technical processes and ensure timely delivery of complex tasks across DC schemes, Money Purchase, and SIPPs.

The role requires extensive pension/platform experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to lead a technical team, manage projects, and resolve issues under pressure.

Qualifications

• Extensive pension/platform experience in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of pension regulations.
• Understanding of pension/platform operations and processes.
• Experience with pension software (Origo, SIPP Pro).
• Experience in leading teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on pensions and platform issues for DC, Money Purchase, SIPPs and SSASs.
• Handle pension flexibilities, auto-enrolment, taxation and drawdown experience.
• Understand pension legislation, regulations and scheme rules.
• Identify and resolve technical issues with complex calculations and regulatory interpretations.
• Manage Death Benefit Payments, Divorce & Disputes.
• Ensure platform and pension processes comply with legal requirements.
• Handle complaints and IDRP processes with Compliance/Risk.
• Oversee end-to-end pension technical processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor KPIs related to pensions operations and drive improvements.
• Lead and supervise the pensions technical team.
