Job summary

The Children’s Outpatient’s Department at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a motivated assistant to join our small team. You will support registered staff in delivering holistic care to children in outpatient settings, under supervision, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

The role offers opportunities to learn, develop clinical skills, and contribute to teaching and supervision of students.

Qualifications

• Level 3 health care qualification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR and patient confidentiality.
• Experience in a health or care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist registered nursing staff with holistic patient care in outpatient settings.
• Maintain dignity and equality of patients and provide play/distraction as needed.
• Report concerns to a registered nurse about patients' health or wellbeing.
• Undertake allocated tasks in the care environment as directed by the nurse in charge.
• Support infection prevention and control practices.
• Contribute to teaching and supervision of students and junior staff.
