Job summary

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver care to children and young people with support and supervision provided by a registered health care professional
• Undertake personal care activities and clinical care duties with minimal support as delegated by a registered healthcare professional in accordance with HEIW All Wales Guidelines for Delegation
• Ensure the registered healthcare professional is regularly updated on the patient/clients condition and progress
• Promote and maintain a healthy, safe and secure environment for children, young people and their families
• Ensure the working environment is safe and hygienic following infection prevention and control policies and processes
• Contribute to the teaching and supervision of students and junior staff
• Deliver the role in accordance with the Health Board Values and the Code of Conduct for HCSW in Wales
