Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to support pediatric trials. You will perform venepuncture and clinical assessments on children aged 10+, supporting dosing visits and blood collections across a flexible schedule.

You will ensure safety and comfort of young participants while delivering high-quality data. Ideal candidates are NMC registered with Paediatrics, with recent venepuncture experience, LPA competencies, and experience in clinical trial or vaccine settings.

Qualifications

• Fully NMC registered nurse (paediatrics preferred).
• Venepuncture and clinical assessment experience in paediatric settings preferred.
• Experience with port access, infusion procedures; LPA competencies.
• Clinical trial or vaccine trial experience preferred.
• DBS enhanced (update service) and BLS certification preferred.
• Must have own car and driving license; live within an hour of Oakham.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and clinical assessments on children aged 10+ for pediatric trials.
• Support dosing visits and blood sample collections across a flexible schedule.
• Ensure safety and comfort of young participants and accurate data collection.

Education

NMC Registration in Paediatrics

Recent venepuncture experience (6–12 months)

Experience with physical assessments, port access, and infusion procedures in paediatric setting

Vaccine or clinical trial experience

DBS enhanced certificate (preferably update service) and BLS

Own a car and driving license; live within an hour of Oakham
