Job summary

Illingworth Research Group in Telford, UK, is seeking a Per Diem Paediatric Research Nurse to support clinical trials across phases. You will work closely with the RN team, PI, and project managers to ensure high-quality data collection, patient safety, and protocol adherence.

The role requires a registered nurse with at least 2 years post-qualification experience, GCP certification, and experience in venepuncture/ECG.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
• GCP certification and/or clinical trial experience required.
• Knowledge of research design and methodology desirable.
• Venepuncture and ECG experience preferable.
• Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Fully conversant with trial protocol, CRFs/eCRF and SOPs to run the trial daily.
• Communicate effectively with RN project manager, site staff and PI for smooth information flow.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data transfer per SOPs, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
• Attend Site Initiation Visits (SIV) and relevant meetings with the team and client.
• Coordinate patient visits with the RN team and ensure data collection aligns with protocol and SOPs.
• Administer trial medication per protocol and manage storage and accountability of trial materials.
• Package and dispatch samples in line with project requirements and SOPs.
• Assist in identifying eligible patients and support recruitment for trials.
• Report adverse events (AEs) and SUSARs to the RNPM and site team, with follow-up as needed.
• Report suspected misconduct or fraud as per company policy.
