Job summary

Protocol Education are seeking a PE & Mentoring Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs in South Shields. You will help with PE activities, mentor pupils, and support classroom learning across the day.

You'll work 8:00am–4:00pm, 5 days a week during term time, with a focus on building confidence, resilience, and positive attitudes toward education. A full UK driving licence is preferable but not essential.

Qualifications

• All applicants will require suitable qualifications and training for this role.
• DBS check and safeguarding checks will be undertaken as part of due diligence.

Protocol Education are looking for a PE & Mentoring Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs in South Shields.

This role is about much more than helping with PE. You'll become a trusted adult for young people who may need additional encouragement, structure and positive role models.
