Protocol Education are seeking a Sports Teaching Assistant to support pupils across specialist schools in the South Shields area. The role involves assisting in lessons, 1:1 and in small groups, and helping with PE and physical activities.

This role would suit someone with a background in football, rugby, boxing, fitness, athletics, PE, coaching or another sport who wants to use their skills to support young people both inside and outside the classroom.

Previous school experience is advantageous but not essential.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be highly advantageous, particularly as there may be opportunities across South Shields and surrounding areas.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is advantageous for an immediate start. If you don't currently have one, you will need to be able to apply for an Enhanced DBS as soon as possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
