Job summary

Megger is seeking an Electronics Technician to join the PCB Test Team in the UK. You will support board-level assembly, testing, inspection, fault-finding, repair and rework of PCBs within a busy manufacturing environment, ensuring quality and reliability while collaborating with Engineering and Quality teams.

The role requires experience with PCB testing, soldering, reading schematics and using test equipment, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics manufacturing or repair environment.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Proficient in using PCB test equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Good data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out automated and dedicated PCB testing per procedures.
• Diagnose faults at component and board level using docs.
• Solder, desolder, and rework SMD and through-hole components.
• Use test equipment to identify faults.
• Log faults and support root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on defects.
• Ensure work complies with procedures and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement to boost efficiency and reliability.
