Job summary

Megger is seeking an Electronics Technician to perform automated and manual testing of PCB assemblies at our UK facility. You will diagnose faults using schematics and measurement tools, solder SMD and through-hole components, and log issues for root-cause analysis.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with Engineering and Quality teams to improve manufacturing quality and reliability are essential. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics manufacturing or repair environments.
• PCB soldering, repair and rework including SMD and through-hole components.
• Ability to read circuit schematics, PCB layouts and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out automated and dedicated testing of PCB assemblies according to procedures.
• Diagnose electronic faults at component and board level using documentation and test tools.
• Perform SMD and through-hole soldering, desoldering, component replacement and PCB rework.
• Use meters, scopes, power supplies and signal generators to investigate faults.
• Record and log faults with repair systems and support root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to investigate defects and drive improvements.
• Ensure all work complies with company procedures and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, quality and reliability.
