Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a PCB Technologist in Stevenage to own complex electronics investigations and build specialist expertise in component failure analysis within the defence sector. You will fault find to component level, support advanced failure analysis methods, work with cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing and test teams, and produce technical reports.

Qualifications

• Fault diagnosis and repair of electronic assemblies at component level.
• Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of printed circuit boards, electronic components and manufacturing techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver work to agreed timescales.
• Analytical approach to problem solving and technical investigations.

Responsibilities

• Investigate component failures through hands on fault finding, laboratory testing and root cause analysis.
• Support the development of advanced failure analysis processes, methods and equipment.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and test teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to the improvement of printed circuit board and circuit card assembly technologies.
• Produce technical reports and support the development of engineering standard.
• Collaborate with UK and international stakeholders on technology and process improvement activities.
