Job summary

Copello Global Ltd is seeking a PCB Technician to join a defence/advanced engineering team in the UK. You will fault-find complex hardware, perform lab-based analyses, and contribute to failures analysis capability across electronic systems.

You will work in a hybrid setup, typically 3 days on-site, collaborating with design, manufacturing and test teams to drive analysis, documentation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Fault-finding electronic/circuit card assemblies down to component level.
• Experience using electronic test equipment and laboratory techniques to investigate hardware faults.
• Understanding of electronic design and component specifications.
• Knowledge of PCB, circuit card assembly and electronic manufacturing processes.
• Experience across engineering or manufacturing work packages.
• Ability to balance cost, quality and delivery requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication; track record delivering to timescales.

Responsibilities

• Investigate electronic component and circuit card failures using fault-finding and lab-based analysis.
• Collaborate with Component Engineering, Electronics Design, Manufacturing and Test teams to diagnose issues.
• Support new failure analysis processes, equipment and technologies.
• Engage with internal/external partners and suppliers as needed.
• Understand materials, components and PCB/CCA manufacturing contributions to failures.
• Produce technical reports and contribute to standards and documentation.
• Support delivery of technical work packages within cost/quality/timescale constraints.
• Undertake technical training to develop expertise; provide PCB/component engineering support.
