Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking an Electronics Failure Analysis Engineer to diagnose, analyse and resolve hardware component issues across complex electronic sub-systems, from concept through production and beyond. You will perform fault-finding, laboratory work and root-cause analysis in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

Join the PCB Technologists Team, supporting internal programs in the UK and collaborating with non-UK teams on PCB design, manufacture and assembly.

Qualifications

• Experience of fault finding circuit card assemblies down to component level using electronic test equipment.
• Managing work packages with balance of cost, quality and schedule.
• Appreciation of electronic design, PCB and sub-assembly manufacturing processes.
• Proven track record of on-time delivery and strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess component failures via fault finding and laboratory work with internal teams.
• Support development and evaluation of new processes for component failure analysis.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners and travel internationally as required.
• Compile reports and contribute to standards within national/international teams.
• Provide training to increase knowledge for the role.
• Generate reports and maintain documentation.
